Crime Stoppers of Michigan
Crime Stoppers goals and objectives are to reduce crime in S.E. Michigan, increase citizen involvement in crime reduction and make S.E. Michigan a better place to live, work and play. The number one problem in the Detroit region is crime and a reputation for being unsafe. Not only is there tremendous human toll and suffering, but crime limits economic expansion, the ability to attract talent, hold conventions and conferences. It is also difficult for school children to feel safe. Crime Stoppers empowers people to make their neighborhoods safer by providing a way that they can report information that will solve a crime, remain anonymous and earn a reward if the information results in an arrest. The job of Crime Stoppers is to help citizens, businesses and schools rid the community of criminals. This is done by informing the public of unsolved crimes and dangerous fugitives in our area by using posters, television, radio, newspapers, billboards and meetings. Crime Stoppers also has programs in 38 Michigan prisons, six county jails, eleven high schools as well as many area churches. Please visit our website for more information >
