Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center

Banbury Cross Therapeutic Equestrian Center has been established to better the quality of life for people with special needs through therapeutic equestrian activities. Through training and involvement of volunteers, Banbury Cross also hopes to strengthen understanding toward disabled people. The Art Van grant will be used to provide therapeutic riding lessons to children and adults with disabilities.

Horseback riding therapy has helped our handicapped daugher with her balance and social skills. The staff personalize their lessons and match the horse with each rider. Their patience is unlimited with the riders.

These good people have helped our son immeasurably and truly deserve all the help they can get!

  • Grekrs

My son has cerebral palsy and has attended Banbury Cross for the last year. We have seen so much improvement in his core strength over the last year and Banbury deserves so much credit for that. Please vote for them!

  • Lizzie’smom

This is truly a non profit organization that uses all of its resources towards the population it serves. Our daughter has ridden at Banbury Cross for the past 2 and a half years and we have seen the commitment of the staff, volunteers, and horses to the individuals with disabilities they service. Every bit of income, manpower, and horsepower is aimed at improving the lives of those who walk through their doors, and they provide this with smiles, caring, and patience.

I currently work for Banbury Cross after being a volunteer for 3 years. When I first started at Banbury Cross, I thought it would be something to do in order to give back to my community and combine my love for helping people with horses. After 1 session, I was hooked. I started to see what a difference this made in these peoples lives, and the benefits of horseback riding. This one rider was finally able to walk after years of being confined to a wheelchair. It was a sight that will change my life forever. PLEASE VOTE! :)
