Children’s Leukemia Foundation of MI

“We want to express our sincere thanks for your financial support as well as other support during Kory’s cancer treatment. Because of your generosity, Kory is able to concentrate on getting well and less on the enormous financial burden that comes with cancer treatment. Our sincerest thanks and gratitude go out to you.” Tracy, mother of a young adult Hodgkin’s patient (Oakland County)

The Art Van Challenge Grant has had a tremendous impact on our fundraising efforts over this past year. It has been the catalyst in our efforts to raise new revenue and cultivate relationships with new donors, as well as increasing donations from current supporters. We launched our CLF Annual Fund Campaign announcing the Art Van Challenge in summer 2009 with public relations announcements and events. The Challenge was included on our website and was a highlight of our signature major donor event in the fall, CRUSH Birmingham. Because of the Art Van Challenge, CLF raised over $10,000 toward the Challenge at this one event alone. The Art Van Challenge was also the basis of our annual fund mailings, which resulted in increased gifts from current donors, as well as a significant number of new supporters. There is no doubt in our mind that the Art Van Challenge Grant provided the leverage and excitement needed to secure additional funding in such a difficult economic time as we currently are in. For that we are extremely grateful!

CLF has been in our lives since our daughter Alexandria was diagnosed with leukemia at age 2.  They have provided support to us in many ways (Christmas toy drive, financial, cancer information and tickets to outings).  They have been a blessing to us.  CLF personnel are wonderful and truly mean the world to us.  What a awesome organization! Many families in Michigan could use their support and I hope they win the challenge.  Good luck to them and thanks to Art Van for the opportunity for CLF too be a recipient.

CLF is an Amazing MICHIGAN Organization.  My daughter was 16 when she was diagnosed with leukemia. I answered the phone one  day to hear “Hi I’m Amy, I’m just calling to see how Jessica is doing and if you need anything.”  That was 10 yrs ago and they are just as important in my life now as they were then. They bought her a wig so she could have her senior pics taken amongst so many other things.
