Grace Centers of Hope

Grace Centers of Hope is Oakland County’s oldest and largest faith-based shelter, providing hope and help to homeless and disadvantaged individuals and families throughout Southeastern Michigan. Grace Centers of Hope is committed to positively changing the lives of the homeless, addicted and unwanted through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, personal accountability, life skills education, and work-related programs. Our most pressing challenge is establishing a licensed childcare center to meet the unique needs of children who are victims of homelessness and poverty. The Art Van grant will go towards Grace Centers of Hope’s new Hands of Hope Childcare Center.

I want to thank Grace Centers of Hope for the wonderful work you do everyday for so many people. My daughters and I have volunteered in your kitchen before and love the atmosphere of love that is so prevalent in your facility. I would sincerely ask for prayers for my son and his friend who are alcoholics and have not come to the realization of their problems and that there is hope for them also. I thank God for Grace. My son was there for 3 1/2 months and was a
changed person. Unfortunately, he messed up and had to leave. He
has fallen back to bad habits and bad relationships since. I will always
be grateful to Grace for using the word of God to minister to every situa-
tion and problem man may have. He is always the answer.

Hi Diane , I will pray for your son , I also have a 19 yr old son who is around many negative influences , and when I pray for my son I include a prayer for all those who are lost in addictions , I pray for the lord to use all the bad experiences and brokenness in their lives for their eventual good , and for his glory , that is after all what he specializes in , he promises to remain close to the brokenhearted , and I know him to be faithful , he promises to hear and honor the fervent and effectual prayer of his people . I am continually encouraged by Christ Jesus , he understands our pain and cries with us , he is forever merciful and will never tire of giving us ( all of us ) grace and compassion , when I am discouraged its usually because I am focused on all the negative circumstances not the power and omnipotence of our God , and I know he asks me to rest in his ability… in my weakness !! If you are interested I can make you a cd of beautiful and encouraging praise music that I listen too ,it becomes a prayer to the lord for my son and others like him , as he also commands us to focus on things that are uplifting , positive and of good rapport ….so I focus on it continually ! I’ll be praying that you’ll always find hope and encouragement in Christ and that in times of doubt you will pray for the Lord to increase your faith , and rest in his faithfulness and ability to carry you through , Love in Christ , Erica Monjarez

I came through Grace Centers of Hope about 2 years ago after losing everything, and almost my life, due to my addiction to prescription pain medication. I am now enrolled at Rochester College here in Michigan attending to receive a bachelors degree in Youth and Family Ministry, so that God willing, my story can prompt someone else to turn their life over to the Lord. Everything that happens through Grace Centers of Hope is a miracle of God and I thank Him every day for Pastor Clark and his ministry.

I entered GCH Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program in July 2003 and completed the entire year. Since that time I have been employed as a Case Manager helping others to obtain that which the Lord has gracefully bestowed upon me. On July 14, 2012 I will have experienced 9 years of sobriety from 19.5 years of addiction to crack cocaine. Praise and Glory to the one, God Almighty, who made me.
