Greater Lansing Housing Coalition

The Greater Lansing Housing Coalition is committed to helping our community prosper by providing housing assistance to all, revitalizing neighborhoods, and empowering our residents through education and counseling The Greater Lansing Housing Coalition Tuesday Toolmen program provides no cost home repairs, home modifications, and home safety improvements allowing qualifying low income seniors and disabled residents to remain safely in their homes. Keeping these residents securely in their homes helps local neighborhoods remain stable, sustaining communities. Taxpayers win as well, as the use of funds is maximized  by free labor, and resources are focused on materials for the residents. Keeping residents in their homes, rather than displacement to a nursing facility can save the state an average of $74,500 per individual family.  Our senior volunteers benefit as well, as their skills are utilized to improve their surrounding community, and it is a statistical fact that volunteers live healthier lives with greater longevity. The Tuesday Toolmen program is a win- win for residents, taxpayers, and the community at large. Please visit our website for more information>
