Lighthouse Path

Lighthouse PATH, a subsidiary of Lighthouse of Oakland County, is the first and most successful transitional housing program for homeless women and children in Oakland County, MI. Lighthouse PATH is one of the many programs Lighthouse of Oakland County offers to assist the growing number of families in crisis in our community to move from crisis and instability to self-sufficiency and independence. PATH’s unique Young Women & Teen program helps young mothers with housing, intense case management, prenatal services, educational support, and child care. The young women also participate in Life Skills, Empowerment classes and Career Development programs so they are prepared for a successful transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency and independent living. Since 1991, PATH has helped empower nearly 1,000 homeless families and has achieved a 91% success rate which reflects the number of women leaving the program with affordable housing, employment, a renewed self-esteem, and the skills and confidence needed to successfully provide for themselves and their children.
