The mission of the Pine Lake Fund (PLF) is to promote the training and placement of persons with disabilities attending the Michigan Career and Technical Institute (MCTI). MCTI serves young adult students from the State of Michigan referred through the state vocational rehabilitation program. The Pine Lake Fund supports the development of programs that meets the needs of the employment community. For over 30 years, PLF programs have encouraged Michigan business leaders to become involved and invested in the training and job placement of persons with disabilities. Programming to support individual growth and enhance employability skills have been the cornerstone to long-term placement success at MCTI. The Pine Lake Fund operates multiple programs to support people with disabilities attending MCTI, including placement services; a family housing and daycare complex; off-site Learning Centers; and various statewide partnerships. The Pine Lake Fund employs 20 full and part-time staff under the above mentioned programs. Through a strong partnership with the state vocational rehabilitation program, it serves over 300 students with disabilities in placement related activities, over 700 Michigan workers through accommodation and ergonomic services, and an additional 150 people with disabilities at the Learning Center Please visit our website for more information>
