SIREN/Eaton Shelter, Inc.

“Many homeless adults and children go without needed health care because they don’t know how to access Medicaid or other programs that might help them. It is much more cost-effective to help them get needed medical care than it is to wait until they end up in the emergency room or a hospital bed. Art Van helped SIREN stabilize dozens of homeless people who needed housing and medical care. Without the grant from Art Van, these people might still be living on the streets.”

A crucial service for abused and/or homeless children, mothers, etc.  Siren/Eaton Shelter needs all the support it can get!!  And – given the effective use of all funds received, they deserve all the support they can get as well.

This service is CRUCIAL to the many families with young children who find themselves with no place to live.  It is a cost-effective and well managed operation with caring volunteers assisting.  I give Siren Eaton Shelter a firm “thumbs up!”  Too many families have been turned away by Siren just because no housing is available, given Siren’s budget.  Their education and public relations efforts to help the communities served know and understand the causes, the frequency ,and the long term effects of family violence must be recognized and expanded!
