United Cerebral Palsy of Metro Detroit (UCP/Detroit)

“The QuickRamp for Kids programs is a simple and inexpensive way for children to access their community and through funding from Art Van we have assisted children in living a life with out limits.  For many children just getting in and out of the house can be a challenge, but with a QuickRamp  what once seemed impossible is now possible.    The funding from Art Van has allowed UCP/Detroit to expand what started as a project into a viable program that has provided over 100 ramps to children in Metro Detroit.”

My sister has cerebral palsy. She also has OCD, Asperger’s syndrome, and anger issues.Living with someone that has cerebral palsy can be difficult, but it is very rewarding. It has taught me to be patient. My sister is good with children, because she can relate to them. They don’t judge her. It’s sad to think that? people can look at someone and judge them because they don’t look the same. My sister is a very beautiful person and I love her. I wish everyone saw her the way I did.thanx! @NADIA
